  • Line out question on Hammond b3

    I've done this many times but forget each new time...I have a quarter jack with 2 terminals wires and gain control... do they go on the g. And g. Terminals? One on the g and one somewhere else? Help!!

      The "signal" lead should go to either one of the G terminals, the "ground" lead (sleeve of the jack) should go to the preamp chassis.

        Thank you, I'm not very knowlegable about this stuff, the signal lead is the one with one wire while the ground lead is the one with 2 wires, correct? where exactly would I put the ground on the chassis?

              So I plug my guitar cable into the other side of box with output control and from there it goes into my boss rt20 leslie pedal into amp...now I realize on the last Organ I had I had connected to both g terminals - it worked but was really hot output. Not sure why I did that but think that I read it somewhere

                By "other end" I meant inside the box so we can see where the individual wires go. Key is figuring out which wire is connected to the tip (not sleeve) of the jack. That's the wire you want to go to one of the two "G" taps on the pre-amp. The other will go to ground (the "GND" marked tap on the pre-amp).
