  • Hammmond Comodore 328314 schematic

I am a new-bee to this and know very little about these organs. My wife had a B-3 and a Leslie when were were first married 20+ years ago. We donated it to the church we went to and I recently acquired this model very reasonably. I got it from the original owner and it powers up and lights come on and it makes a buzzing sound. No sounds from the keyboards. I opened it up and it appears to be in excellent condition inside and out. I would like to try and get it operating but need to find a schematic. I have seen a few schematics on line but not with the exact same model #. A copy of a service manual would be great but i would settle for the schematic.
We had a local repair shop that closed a few years back and his label is on the back of the organ. But he is gone.
I have read about cleaning the numerous connections as a starting point.
I have also read the view where people say this would make good firewood, but i would like to give it a shot.
I have some decent electronics background and equipment to do repairs but need the schematics to make sure i don't damage anything going at this blindly.
Any help or advice with finding these items would be greatly appreciated. I had found a 328214 schematic i picked up but it appears to be a slightly different model.
Thank you . No i don't need any matches. LOL

Certainly don't burn it. B3s probably burn just as well...

You can probably go a long way without the schematic first. I'd change the large electrolytics on the chassis behind the swell box straightaway. That should take care of the buzzing and likely just needs to be done in any case. Next, spray each and every connector with DeOxIt and work them (plug and unplug them numerous times). If this doesn't get you any sound, you may simply have an improper setting, hopefully.

But even without schematics (which you'll likely have by this point) you can follow the signal path backward from the power amps pretty easily.

    Take a look at this:

It's not the same organ, and far from comprehensive, but might give you ideas on things that can prevent sounds when you play the manuals.

Forum software wouldn't let me properly link this video in the last post for some reason.
