  • SKX 11 pin to real 9 pin Leslie?

    Hello folks.
I should like to try my Hammond SKX through a real Leslie - I have a couple. Both are 9 pin, the output on my SKX is 11 pin? What is the solution please, bearing in mind I am a clutz with a soldering iron. Is a nine pin to 11 pin adapter the same as an 11 pin to 9 pin adapter or are they different creatures?

    Thank you

You need to make some sort of external adapter box, it's not as simple as just making an adapter cable unfortunately. Audio levels are different, and the speed switching portion is incompatible between the 11-pin and 9-pin systems.

There was (and maybe still is) an 1197 adaptor kit

It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.
