• Two Speed Leslie with only one speed

I have a Hammond T-212 with two speed leslie. My problem is that the leslie will only run in slow speed. I have checked the switch and it seems to be working fine. I remove the leslie and put 110volts to both motors and they work fine. I do have a wiring schematic for this organ and I am not getting the voltage between pin 2 & 3 on the leslie plug. I do get 110volts between pin 3 & 4 when the fast, slow switch is in either fast or slow. I am a novice when it comes to electronics. I need some help.

    Thanks

I have had a leslie 147 which didnt switch speeds all the time and it turned out to be the relay,

I cleanded the contacts of the relay with very fine sandpaper and also retensioned the relay spring by bendind the anchor points a little and now it works like new.

It's almost always the relay. I have a 122 that was rebuilt with a solid state relay which generally never goes bad, and even that wouldn't switch until I fussed with it.

I think the OP is referring to the T's internal leslie, not a cabinet!

Same thing though, it sounds like the relay and I think that's in the amplifier chassis. My service manual is the basic one without any disassembly instructions, so it doesn't tell me.

It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.
