I think that it is possible to move it in this way but lock the tone generator and reverb springs if you have the long ones.

I would recommend you rent a trailer or pickup truck and move it upright. I see two issues with laying it down. You may not get it in between the wheel wells of the Exploder and wiring of the reverb and main amp could be compromised sliding it in on its back.

What Jon says about TWG lockdown is a must no matter how you transport it.

I'd always prefer to keep things upright, but, after locking down reverb and TWG, I've had no problems putting them on their backs for transit. You do indeed have to make sure that everything is secure, and make sure that everything is back in place before switching back on - I've known people take out all the tubes (Good excuse for a quick spray with de-oxit before they go back in).

BTW, H101, I had a Ford Exploder once. The engine did just that.....[:O]

It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

Ahh! Iwrote that just to get a rise out of somebody! Thanks for the detailed reading. Ford's modular engines where pretty much junk at least in the first release here in the US. I have no idea what the Explorer was in the UK however. To bad they (Ford) never sold the Sierra here in the states, with the right running gear they where neat cars. The US manufacturers sold most of the "Fun" stuff off the continent. I'm quite happy with my Toyota Tundra, a 2000 model with 230,000 miles!
