  • Lacquer coating metal

While I have my manuals out on my C3, and the key contact covers removed to defoam, I'm wondering what to seal the covers with to prevent metal hair growth.

been looking at Rustins metal lacquer which is non cellulose and won't craze or yellow.

I have removed the foam and adhesive in the key boxes so looking for a durable sealer

    Any ideas?

I spray scanner interiors with Mohawk lacquer for brass. I imagine it will work perfectly fine in this application as well, provided you aren't risking any overspray getting on the bus bars or contacts.

Maybe Glyptal?? Used in electric motors and transformers as an insulating coating...

The covers are completely removed from the manuals so no risk of overspray contamination. I intend doing both sides of the contact covers.
