Bookface is awesome. That link takes me to a "guitars for sale in Chicago" page.

He took the ad down after I bought it, I think. The fb search function is strange- I search for organs but also get gobs of antique farm tractors, pianos and baby clothes...

Congratulations Tom! That is quite the steal, very jealous. Hope she's not too beat up, but at the same time, isn't that where all the fun is?

Thanks! From what I can tell from the picture, it may be the best looking one yet 8) It always is fun, Hammonds are “like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get”

I think I like seeing what's in the bench.

Me too! This one being a church rescue, probably won't have 8x10s of pretty girls like the BC's bench 8)

I like looking through the old music books and imagine being able to actually sit down and play even though my music reading skills are pretty rough. But, I'm working on it :-) . Along with some of the user manuals. drawbar books etc.

I wouldn't bank on that. You just never know.

I'm going through the same thing, and making some (slow) progress 8). I think KC9UDX would probably agree, at least to me reading the notes is a little like learning Morse code. Everyone knows Morse for "SOS", but you keep going along looking up each letter you don't know as you come to it, and you gradually start remembering more and more until you have them all. The closest I came to really being able to sight-read was taking flute lessons about 35 years ago, but there was only one note at a time to worry about! Now it kind of seems to be turning into more of a 'pattern recognition' thing, we shall see...
