Finally I have tracked down the dreaded hum but still can't work out what is causing it...After hours of checking connections I have discovered that by shorting the two grey wires on the plug that goes in the back of the rhythm unit , the hum vanishes altogether. What can this mean? Is the hum emanating from the lower keyboard or the pedal ...I've checked all the wires on the pedal box but there might be another earth underneath or something...any suggestions appreciated...

Ok...So I plugged the rhythm unit back in, unplugged the leslie unit and then set all the left hand
rocker switches to off except the white one (tremelo on/off) which is set to on...Then press the pedal down to full volume and amazingly there is no hum...Both keyboards are loud and clear and so are the pedals...So I deduce that the hum is related to the leslie unit in some way...It only hums when it's plugged in...Douwe , maybe it is an earth loop as you suggested...

Interesting! I wish I could unplug the leslie and my hum was gone... Wonder whether it is a ground loop or maybe the motor being close to the amplifier board or so... You could try swinging the leslie 'door' a bit to see if the volume of the hum changes when it is plugged in.
Well switching on the reverb brings the hum back so there's something going on there I don't quite understand....I'll be glad when this virus is over and I can get some professional help...
