  • M3 pitch is about a half semi tone flat

Does anyone know why my M3 is about a half semi tone flat?

I think it's because of the run motor not turning at full speed.

That's weird, what are you using as a pitch reference?

At first I thought it would be the tone generator caps but then I found out that the caps affected the volume of the tone and how clean it sounds

Does the organ have a “stock” motor arrangement, like no gears or pulleys between the motor shaft and generator shaft? How about a picture?

It got the flywheel and coupling springs
it appears to be original about 1959/1961
            It's the same as my M103 1964

May just be a lubrication issue If it only takes 8 seconds to spin down. It should do much better.

i starts up fine and runs up quickly
Soaked some more been letting sitt for a few days probably let it run some more tomorrow
Was thinking of trying a napatha flush

If you have just started the “recovery” process it could take a couple weeks for the oil to soak in, if you don't mind waiting. The naphtha flush gets things going *quick*!

                        Ok thanks
                        i was reading something somewhere
It should keep turning for about 12 to 15 seconds
                        Is that correct

Yes, and will likely do even better with usage and time.
