  • Newbie Aurora 8022 owner -Help!

    Hi there
I am a new Aurora 8022 owner - yes the LSI one - not much loved apparently. I always wanted a Hammond since I heard Whiter shade of pale as a kid.in London.
Well I now own one thanks to an elderly neighbour - its not well . no vibrato - E and D making rasping noises and some preset voices not working.
So I am looking for some help! I am an electronics engineer and know my way about circuits - this all seems so simple but.... I cannot get any information, schematics or how the circuit boards work together. I would also like to offer advice in return, if I can!

I have done all the usual prechecks, cleaned all the connectors, and am hovering with an oscilloscope to dive in, but without the road map its a daunting task.

So if anyone is willing to share info I would be so grateful

    Stay safe everyone

I'm trying a slightly different strategy as there seems to be no info on the 8022.

I would think Hammond evolved these models - so does anyone know other models that use the 'MDD generator two package system' ?

I think this is where the missing and warbly notes are generated.

    The boards are marked 023 047240 and 023 048426
It uses MOSTEK MK6008N I think as a divider chain
