  • Adding Leslie to C3 that came with PR-20

Looking for instructions to make this happen

  • #2
Do you have the Leslie? Model 122 is first choice, but 147 can work. Both are 6-pin but need different connecting kits. Many of us would hook up the Leslie and never use the PR-20, but tht would be a personal choice.

On the other hand, the PR-20 was specifically designed to reproduce the many nuances, like key click and generator crosstalk, that make the Hammond so unique. And the balance of straight and rotary speaker systems can be very pleasing. IMHO, of course.
Over the years: Hammond M3, BC, M102, B3, four X77s and three PR-40s, a Thomas Electra and a Celebrity, three Fender Rhodes, Roland HS-10, HP-2000, HP-600, RD-600, JV-880, a thing made by Korg (?), two Leslie 910s, 122, 257, 258, 247, two 142s, and three custom-built Leslies. Wow, way too much money spent!

I always had a PR40 on stage. It added quite a bit of bottom to the pedals and string bass, plus it made a great stand for my Roland digital piano which I place at the right side of the console.
