First thing is to peek inside the back of the organ and see if wires are broken off the actual drawbars.

2nd thing (and actually more likely) is to check for bad connections/oxide in the white multi-pole Molex connectors that couple the manual assemblies to the rest of the organ.

I had a very similar problem with an L-100, which I eventually diagnosed as being due to bad connections on those Molex connectors. The fault was that several drawbars were not sounding at all, and the usual step of applying contact-cleaner to the drawbar contacts gave no improvement. Then I spotted the two Molex connectors which carry the bus-bar signals from the upper and lower manuals to the drawbars and switches. Cleaning the contacts and waggling the Molex connectors restored the missing drawbar tones.

I am not sure if this is a permanent fix, and I am therefore preparing myself to replace the Molex connectors at some stage with higher quality gold-plated multi-pole connectors.

Or just solder the connections, like in the old bullet proof M-3.

A very good suggestion, Enor. I was thinking of using 'D' type connectors with solder buckets, to replace the Molex connectors. If I can't locate the 'D' types, I may well just solder the wires as you suggest, since the need to separate these two parts of the organ is a rare event.
