    Hi folks

    Which other compression drivers have been successful?

    I've seen some threaded Soundlab 8ohm ones on ebay for £16...

    They are 800hz to 20k

    What is known to sound original?

    You need a 16ohm driver to match the crossover. V21s which do come up on Ebay UK sometimes are of course the best. If you have a threaded adaptor on the Leslie, then things like these are the nearest. You do not need high frequency capabilities.

    This is the spec sheet of the Atlas PD5VH, often recommended but it is not readily available in the UK, except at silly prices.

      I have two Atlas PD 60A drivers, one as a backup, and I couldn't be happier with the sound. I have seen them on eBay UK for 125E. The adaptor plate and mounting hardware can be purchased at TWG Hospital for about 35 US. Here's what it looks like:

Yamaha C3 grand, 67 Tele blond neck, Les Paul Standard, PRS 24, Gibson classical electric, Breedlove acoustic electric, Strat, P Bass, Rogers drum kit, Roland TD 12 digital drums, Apollo quad, older blackfaced Fender Twin, other amps, mics and bits and pieces cluttering up the "studio."
