Recolouring drawbar footages

Any idea how you would go about restoring the colour in the footage stamps on the later drawbar knobs?

The red on the white knobs especially.

Is the debossing (where the number was pressed into the plastic) still evident ? I have used craft paint worked into the depression, let fully or partially dry, then rub or fingernail scrape away any overspread.

Excellent idea Larry, I have a minute brush used for doing stone chips on cars so I'll grab some craft paint.
