• Some classic Hammonds for sale in Japan - links included!

Hello all - here are a few interesting links to some classic Hammonds available for sale in Japan on "Yahoo! Auction" (eBay isn't in Japan; they gave it a try and couldn't compete with the category leader, Yahoo).

Can anybody identify these models? Are they of the "Elegante" series? Just as a note, the dollar/yen exchange rate is about 105 yen to the dollar, so the one auction asking JPY 500,000 means that's nearly $4750 US.

Not Elegantes but both 328xxx series Commodores. Same era as the Elegante, just a year or so earlier, and lesser specification.

$4750 is a complete joke - divide by 10 for a truer value. But that's outside Japan!

It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

Indeed! The one guy with the high price is branding it as a "rare antique", but he'll never get that price. The identical organ from the other seller is now relisted with an asking price of only $8; apparently he relisted it because no one bid on his first auction of it with an initial bid amount of $120. There are quite a bit of older Electones here from the '70s and early '80s as well, mostly spinets, but the occasional console. Still looking for my E-5AR, though... (not that I have the space to put it in!)
