  • Does anyone know any hammond oil suppliers in Europe?

Hi! Hows it going? I was wondering... does anyone know where to get tone generator oil for a fair price? So far, I've found this in the UK... but seems quite expensive isnt it?. Maybe some one selling oil in germany/belgium (I'm from spain, but dont think anyone sells it here)
    Thanks for reading guys

    Have a nice day!

It comes from the USA.... that's a fair price.
It's about AUD $30 per 4oz (118mL) bottle shipped to Australia.
Honestly I wouldn't be complaining about the price.
One bottle should last years, unless you plan on doing a naptha flush - then you might need a whole bottle in one go.
It's not worth messing around trying to find alternatives.
Yes, you can try Singer sewing machine oil - but some of the experts advise to only use genuine Hammond Oil. Others say they've used Singer oil for decades with no issues.
Personally for the price, why bother with the risk - just get the real thing.
    Current:

Korg CX3 (original 1980's analogue model).
1967 Leslie 122 with custom inbuilt preamp on back panel for 1/4" line-level inputs, bass & treble controls. Horn diffusers intact.
2009 Marshall 2061x HW Plexi head into Marshall 4x12 cabinet.

Medical grade mineral oil. Nujol was printed on the original metal plate oiling instructions from the plant, as a suitable substitute in the early days, including the statement to oil every three months, which soon proved to be unnecessary The old debate rages on.

Use the "German mixture"... a 50/50 mix of Pressol 10596 and sewing machine oil. Works very well!

Thanks for all the replies! I'll maybe grab the bottle from that link. The sewing machine oil is interesting advice! Will consider.

If you must use sewing machine oil, use Singer oil.
DO NOT use "3 in one" type oils, they will muck up your tone wheel generator.
