    Probably the busbar shifter.
    Hammond A100, M102, X5, XB3, XB5, TTR-100,
    Lowrey DSO-1, H25-3, Yamaha E70, RA-100,

        I moved it back and forth a few times to see if it was free. I put it back to where it was originally. Are there any repercussions to this?

          The reason you would shift the busbar is to change the position where each key contact touches the busbar. After the organ has been played a lot the contact points where down. Shifting gives a fresh contact point. If it was fine before and you returned to the same position there should not be any repercussions.

          I hoping someone else will jump in and share some good or bad experiences with this.

            If the busbars are dirty (which almost all are), turning the shifter can lead to dropouts of certain frequencies on certain keys. I'd try not to touch them unless the bus bars are cleaned recently or semi-recently
