  • RC net kit. Hammond AB

    Hi
I'm about to install the RC filters, but I ran into an issue. The instructions says to mount the filters on terminal strip bolt 1-4-5-7-8-10-13-14-17-18-21 and 22, but that is for the newer style terminal, where the frequency numbers aren't in consecutive order. The Hammond AB has the old style tone generator, where the terminal frequency nummers are in consecutive order, which means there is no space for the filters.
How should I go about placing and wiring the filters on? I have seen people just soldering the filters on top of the generator, but I rather have it on the side.
I've marked the terminals with frequency 37-48 in the picture.
If someone has a picture of a job they have done then it would also be very appreciated.

    Cheers

I would mount them on top of the TWG using the LC filter screws. That's how the generators came from the factory. In Click image for larger version

ID:	746190 your case you will have to extend the wires.

Don't forget that the tones that you add the networks to will then need to be calibrated back up to their original levels or you will find that you lose some mid-range.

You're rigth. I recapped the entire tonegenerator, so I have to calibrate the entire thing. I will get around to it someday, but I need to borrow a oscilloscope from a friend first.
