What are your opinions about the leslie 120 and leslie 125. Is it possible to create an overdriven sound like the leslie 122/147? I can buy one of those but is it worth or should i wait to buy a 122/147, because of the 6550 tubes? Problem is that a leslie 122/147 is rare and is worth much. So is an effect-loop handy to reproduce the 'overdriven' sound from the 'real deal'?

An effects loop could indeed give you a decent overdriven sound, but remember that the 120 and 125 are only single rotor and the 120 doesn't even have its own amp. There's some discussion on here about the 120 having a pretty dull sound anyway.

I'd wait until a 122/147 comes along. That sound is unique and you know that you really want one!

It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

I have a Leslie 147 for sale. In good working order. A bit scuffed. Are you still looking to purchase one?
