The church I managed to snag my M-3 and Leslie 147RV combo from also has the bench, but they also have an old piano bench there as well. One is upholstered and one isn't. Also, the upholstered one has thinner legs with vertical lines carved into them. Which one is the Hammond?

Organ benches are taller than piano benches.[:)]</p>

Re: What does a Hammod M-3 Organ Bench Look Like?
The benches supplied with the early model M's did havevertical reeding on the legs that matches those on the organ and taper down towards the floor. I'm unsure about the M-2 benches, but M-3's are smooth-legged. Upholstery was probably added by an organist with very little posterior padding. Correct height is important. I measured the benches that came with the 1949 M as well as the one with the '66 M-143. Both are 22 1/4 inches high and about 15 inchesdeep. The M's bench is about 30" long compared to about 25" on the other one.
