• M3 to Leslie 760 hookup question

    Hello,

I'm trying to track down a distortion problem I have thru my Leslie
    760 (my good one...I guess).

I believe the problem is in the power supply or crossover in the
leslie (bass and treble are distorted - slightly no matter the volume
and I adjusted the preamp drive level on the M3) but I wanted to make
sure I have the M3 hooked up correctly.

I took the 9501 connector kit from my M1 and put it on the M3. The
console adapter 042770 was missing the 5 pin plugs that take the plug
from the M3 speaker that plugs into the amp. The M1 instructions are
to disregard these plugs and hard wire, that's why they are missing.

I hard wired the red, green and black wires following the schematic in
    the 9501 instructions
    (http://www.fishorgans.com/leslie_kit...or_Hammond.pdf).

I unplugged the speaker 5 pin plug from the amp and cut wire 1,
twisted the ends together and put a bullet plug on the twisted wires.
I crimped a socket onto the black wire going to the console adapter
and plugged the bullet connection together.

I then cut wire 3 and connected the bare end from the amp to the red
wire of the console adapter. The end from the speaker I connected the
    green wire.

Does anyone see any issues with this?

Otherwise it's onto the leslie. I did some prelim voltage checks and
some from the power supply to the amps checked a little high and some
of the transistors on the crossover are a little low - but I'll have
to go back and write them all down (and make sure i'm using the meter
correctly - noob). Also not certain of tolerances - it wasn't much.

    Thank you,

    Mike
