• Hammond A-100 to Leslie 825 hookup recommendation

Just got a Leslie 825 speaker that my bandleader had lying around and need a recommendation on hooking it up to my Hammond A-100. The Leslie has a preamp that accepts 1/4" inputs and has a 9-pin speaker cable. My Hammond has a 5-pin speaker output and no 1/4" output.

It seems to me the easiest way to hook the Leslie up is to rig a 1/4" output to the Hammond. Looks like the only way to control the 2 speeds of the Leslie is via the preamp. Does anyone have a link on how to properly rig up a 1/4" output specifically for the A-100? Most links I've found refer to spinet models or B3s which I believe have different preamps (isn't the A-100 2 channels?).

My M service manual recommends using a stereo headset for the M100 which had a reverb channel same as the A100. As I recall, the circuit is a straight 'line out' hookup with a ballast resistor for each channel. I suppose it would be easy enough to find a stereo to mono adapter at Radio Shack (or the Source as it is now known up here). You would then be able to connect it to your preamp. Or you could hook up one channel to the Leslie, that way you could use the reverb switch as a way to channel sound to the leslie without a main echo switch (? not sure if this would work)

The proper leslie kit for the A100-825 hookup is number 9510 according to Captain Foldback. http://www.captain-foldback.com/

The current kit for connecting 9 pin leslies to 'most' multi channel Hammonds is 9770 according the Hammond wiki.http://www.dairiki.org/HammondWiki/LeslieKitPartNumbers?version=2

If you want to roll your own 9510, all the info you need is here
