• Hammond L-122 has low sound output

Hi! So my organ was working fine until the other day when I noticed the max volume was not what it used to be. Now the volume is very low. I checked the expression pedal and it seems to be working fine. Any suggestions on where I should investigate next?

    Thanks

I have noticed a similar issue on mine, and it relates to a wire that passes by one of the valves near the top - near the percusion amp I think. Tweaking this wire brings back the volume on mine. I suppose its a matter of a bad connection, or perhaps the valve itself needs cleaning of the socket. I never had the nerve to trace the wire to it's other end, but I suppose it should be replaced.

Sounds as though a tube is getting weak and about to fail. If you can locate someone with a tube tester, he can pin-point the faulty tube(s). If not, I suggest replacing all the tubes as a set. It will make a noticeableimprovement in sound quality.
