I thought there was a post on this somewhere but now I can't find it - I'm going to pick up a used 145 Leslie next week and I may have to transport it on it's side as opposed to standing up - is this an issue?

Re: Can a Leslie be safely transported on its side?
As long as the Leslie it not bounced like in a stiffly sprung trailer I see no problems. The motors are mounted to be upright and the brackets won't take much bouncing. I would recommend laying the 145 on it's back. I've dragged many Leslies home like this in the back of my pickup truck with no issues.

Did your M111 come with a Leslie kit for the 145? If so it was a steal!

Re: Can a Leslie be safely transported on its side?
O.k., well still being the newbie I'm not sure what the "kit" consists of but it does have the two switches mounted left front on the organ. The 145 will be as shown:

Re: Can a Leslie be safely transported on its side?
You might consider pulling the tubes before moving it. With the Leslie on it's back or side, there is a possiblity they could fall out of the sockets and break.
