• M3 Start Run just hums and then smokes if you try too long

This is a first time start since I brought it home a few weeks ago. The previous owner thought it might work with the missing tube replaced.

This organ was missing a tube and I got that and put it in. -- I plugged the organ into the electricity and the tubes slowly lit up. Pretty quickly actually. So it must have been in the on position.

I waited a few minutes and then tried the start run. It hums but it doesn't sound like it is turning.

I opened the back and the wheel didn't seem to be free. Could it just need oiled to get it going.

On my M2 I can see the motor running and the shaft and wheel turning. While were at it will the M2 start run setup work on this M3 if I can't get it going like it is?.

Actually...Videos would be great(Link to youtube). Anything service/parts related. Adjustments to like locking generators, tube drive, showing oil ...ect would be very helpful to some.

Im a newbie so anything like this is a blessing.

You are doing the start with run switched off aren't you? It ain't gonna work unless run is off. Once it has spun for about 10 -20 seconds switch run on while holding the start switch for another few seconds.

I'm glad you clarified that! -- I hadn't been doing it right but I'm going to wait until I get oil before I try it again. The wheel doesn't want to turn in the bearing on the right and the oil trough feels dry. I'm going to get it freed up before I try again. Thanks
