  • light bulbs in Auto Vari

    Need bulbs for Auto Vari 64. I am having a tough time getting the old bulbs out. Do they PULL out or do you Twist them out?????? Any ideas wher e i can find the replacement Bulbs????I have been told GE#18 14v/040a. GE says there is no such Bulb. Thanks joey

    Well that is a perfectly good part number... you probably talked to GE Appliance which is useless... GE and others like Chicago Minature Lamp makes that part number:</P>

    If this is not the right one, they probably have what you need anyway... There are several #18 lamps... leave the GE off as that is only a brand and not part of the generic number.</P>

Twisting the bulb will break it as it has a wedge base.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>
        Have: Hammond 340212 Elegante
        Had: Hammond T-311 and 333114 Colonnade
        Never will have: Laurens Hammond 350 w/ 2 - 751 Leslies

            A better way to pull the bulbs is to use a drinking straw of the right diameter... saves breakage and mess... push one over the bulb and pull... also works for screw in types and bayonet types too with right straw...
