  • RT3 and connector kit to 145 with preamp GG outputs.

    Hi guys ,</p>

I have got a RT3 (felt model-Phew!!!) and also have
one of these connector 012617A kits that i got with my Leslie 145 that
    came off a A100.</p>

I played the organ connected to a 147 before i
took it away (the cable was just hard wired onto the GG preamp) and it
seemed simple to connect it up .But in the month it has taken for me to
get it into the house ive forgotten what the guy showed me.</p>

    He
had it connected to the GG outputs -well one of them and the earth. Are
these the signal or the power?Anyway ,he left little tails on so that i
would know where to put them.

    </p>

I seem to recall that he said the remaining wires are blue and
grey twisted together a a solitary green. Is the green for the Reverb
    and therefore not needed?</p>

Where do the blue and gray go ?</p>

he also said to twist the three wires from the echo switch together as this wont have an echo on it . </p>

The blue and grey are usually the color codes for 120 volts AC power. Be careful with those!</p>

Either GG will work for the signal to the Leslie (pin 6 on 145)(pin 1 is ground).

Hi,Thanks the Admiral ,so i now know that the red and black wires onto earth and the G are the signal to the Leslie.</p>

So where do i pick up the power so that it comes on with the start and run switches ??</p>

When you look in the back of the organ, there is a metal box on the tone generator between you and the run motor. With the cover removed you will see the power coming in from the power supply and then wires going to the amp and pedal soloetc. You can join in there. I replaced all of the A/C wiring from the brown junction block on my RT3 where the power lead plugs in as it was very brittle and the insulation was coming off.</P>

So that's at least three of us with RT3s on the forum now!</P>

Mine is a foam free 1962 model. What year is yours? </P>

        Cheers</P>
