I'd like to invite everyone to visit Archive.org to view the collection of Hammond Chord Organ Comments and other Chord Organ-related documents that I've recently compiled and contributed. Those who have a real interest in the Chord Organ will want to take note of the inaugural issues of both Chord Organ Comments as well as Chords Magazine. No less an organist than Jesse Crawford wrote a series of short articles for COC, and Chords has fantastic articles as well as surprisingly nice arrangements. Throughout the collection look for some serious classical pieces arranged for the Chord Organ.

After completing repairs and some finish work on the S-100 I acquired a little over a year ago, I have to say that I am impressed all over again with the sounds this little organ is capable of. It's no wonder Hammond kept the basic design for well over a decade.

The collection begins with the very first issue of Chord Organ Comments and is mostly complete, especially years 1954, 1955 and 1956. You'll also find the playing guides that Hammond provided to owners as well as Owner's Service Suggestions. There are many other Hammond publications available with more to come, if you broaden the search parameters just a bit on Archive by typing "Hammond organ" in the search box and selecting "Texts" from the mediatype menu next to it.
