Anyone have any idea about repairing or replacing the necessary part(s)? The motor works fine so that the speaker rotates, no sounds eminates from the speaker however (when the Rotary, Tremelo or Chorus switches are actviated).

I got this organ when I was 14 back in March 1973 and played it constantly. Everything else works fine, even the drum machine! I no longer have the user manual or a service manual (I saw one online but in Japanese) and the Yamaha site doesn't appear to have any documentation for the D3 as it is quite an older model.

My wife took a picture of a connection inside that doesn't hook up with anything. Don't know if this is related.

If we can't get parts or figure out what to replace/fix, I'm considering getting a Leslie simulator and split the organ output between the big internal speaker (which works fine) and a small external one with the sim routed to it.

Thanks for any ideas. I'm nominally electronically savvy but my dad had the organ for years before he passed and didn't get the Leslie speaker fixed (and he was an EE).

Great forum here, lots of interesting posts. I've been getting back into organs and organ sounds having been focusing on my analog synths, romplers and digital pianos. Nice to be part of the community!
