Anyone know what has happened to Wersi Direct ? Their website has gone.

  • #2
Their Facebook page is still active, plus the Octoberfest website disappeared for a few days some time ago (Showed the same page as is now showing on the Wersi Direct page) and when it returned it had been completely redesigned.
Apart from that, as Manuel would say “I know nothing” (Wait and See I suppose)
If you are desperate to get a Wersi, and can’t wait to get one, you can purchase one from either Allen’s Music or Music Store direct. (The DV247 UK site has now merged with the Music Store site, so is a one stop for everything musical)

Thanks Bill. No, I already have four Wersi's. None modern though :(

Heres another question. If I got Livestyle for my Wersi Wega what would it give me that I don't have?

The sounds of the Pegasus, Phoenix & Performer instruments from the 90s, which are all sampled instruments, (Including multi-layer samples) and have a way more advanced reverb and effects system. (If you want the styles and accompaniment of the 90s instruments as well, then you will also need the Golden Gate Option)

Thanks Bill. I only really want a better acoustic piano sound and maybe an electric piano. So presumably this would give me that. Im not interested in syles. I know how to play properly. Thank goodness.

Just checked and the website is now back up, however there doesn’t appear to be any changes so still no idea why it was down.

Haven’t they parted company with the blokes that did them?

I was informed by a Peter Armitage that there had been some trouble between the two guys running the site and that they had parted company I checked the number stated today 11th March 2018 and the number was not recognised, I was interested in the pre owned Louvre that is listed for sale, and was told that it was not actually in the UK but in Germany and that it had already been sold, I was also interested in another Wersi from Allens music after a long interesting conversation informing me that they had not got a price for the instrument, they informed me that they would ring me back, no one has rung me back, after waiting for over four weeks, I have had more success dealing with a company in Germany by the name of WERSI service Halsenbach Organ and Keyboards REPLAY Service - Team inh Freddy Schell, who were able to provide me with a new top C8 key for my Atlantis along with a copy of the User manual, so I wouldn't hold out any hope yet that Wersi UK can provide a service as yet.

Freddy Schell is the best. An original of the Wersi factory.

I suspect it is true about Wersidirect. A real shame in my opinion. The website was great and they did a tremendous amount to make Wersi reputable again in UK.

The Wersi Oktoberfest is now known as Oktoberfest run by Ben Scott-Hyde and Brett Wales. Its a great festival and they have some tremendous artists booked in 2018 and I for one will be there. But, I think Wersidirect is finished.

Sad to say, it's history repeating itself.

I was particularly sorry to see Ben moving on, as he was a brilliant representative of the brand, both in general and on here.

I notice the Wersi-Direct website has gone again.

I notice that Allens are now selling Bohm, having music-traders dropped Bohm?

I note there have been no updates to either their Twitter or Facebook since 4 October and 14 December respectively.
