Personally I think they are going in the wrong direction as I feel the new sounds are not as good as the old ones, (Less clear and realistic) plus a number of sound controllers that could have been used for sound edit have been duplicated with the manual controllers thus reducing flexibility.

I think I would avoid the V2.00 update and wait until a decent update comes along, (This ones pretty naff) and just stick with V1.51 using VSTs if you want more flexibility, if you are thinking of buying new make sure you try first, or wait until better software is introduced, alternatively just get a Bohm (With Cloud Studio if you want VSTs) or a Bemore as they leave V2.00 for dead. (Personal opinion)

I think I will stick with OAS 7.46 coupled to an external PC/sound module/vst.
Kontakt 6 is being released in October with an upgrade price of £89.
This way provides a dramatic improvement to OAS at a minimal cost provided you have a laptop etc.

I never thought I would here you criticising Wersi. Like you I love the Wersi sound but they have made mistakes. Thanks for your honest and informative comments. I feel sad that the Wersi guys are not listening to some very knowledgeable organists.

I hope I will be able to try them at the Tastenfestival. The only probkem for me is that I have only played OAX very briefly so not enough to formulate a fair view.

Hey can you tell us more about how a laptop can improve OAS instruments. How would it work? Sounds a very interesting idea.
