  • Lowrey Organ Date

Can someone please tell me how do I find the date of a Lowrey organ? This is the information I have. Model LSB, Serial # 89351
I would appreciate it greatly if someone can tell me where I can find any information for this organ. I'm guessing it was made in the 50's but that is just a guess.
    Thank you in advance.

The LSB is one of the early 'Holiday' series from Lowrey and dates from 1959. I don't think you'll find that much more information on it to be honest. You probably already know that it's valve (tube) based throughout and has a basic specification with a few (then) unique features like the Glide pedal at the left of the expression pedal.

It's a nice little bit of organ history but that doesn't give it any monetary value. The only real sought after 'classics' from that era are the larger spinet models like the DSO Heritage and the consoles like the Coronation, Festival and Lincolnwood.

At that age, it will no doubt need a fair amount of TLC to get it working properly - unless it's had a full restoration in recent years.
It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

Thanks so much for your help. I really didn't know anything other than what i put in the post. I bought it from my neighbor who passed away and family was selling items to make a little money to help pay for funeral expenses. I paid $100 dollars just to help them out not knowing if it worked and was going to send to my grand children in Connecticut but found it was extremely heavy and that's a long way and way to expensive to ship. It was not easy to get to so we just took a chance. I know it works but I don't think it is in full operation.
Again, thank you for your help.
