I think Nabucco sounds outstanding. I have never heard human voices like that on an organ.
I visited one of Claudia‘s „Living Room concerts“ a few weeks ago. Just great. John Miles „Music“ is my favourite of her. Compared to the previous recording on the OAS it sounds way better now (e.g. real Hammond sound now vs Wersi like organ sound before, and better grand piano, strings, ...).
Playing Hammond Aurora Classic & XE2, Hohner E3, Roland G800 & AT500.
I think it sounds great personally, I am however biased, but once I had tweaked quite a few of the settings in OAX V2, I am now very happy with the sounds on mine too. Don’t see what the issue is.
Very well played, but when you stray from the organ to orchestral only arrangements, Yamaha is just so more realistic with the FSV keyboard and the articulation pedal. I have only played the newer electones a few times, when I was on the West coast. But the flexibility is stunning. Even the Tyros art 1 and 2 buttons coupled with a pedal effect don't come close. I haven't played a Wersi in 10 years so a chance would be welcome. Just hard for both Yamaha and Wersi in the states to find recent models. Just need another pile of cash and get Taro to ship me one....
Claudia as always is fantastic. Agree on the human voice, simply amazing.
Still glad I bought the Allen.

Bill,
Will you please explain what the issue is about v2. I personally dont have experience of v1 to know the difference. What I will say is I found the sound if the piano harsh and overall I thought the organ sounded shrill.

HI Herbert
Bugs galore have been reported in V2.00 since its release in July and reported to Wersi, but mothing has been done.
Most of the voices have been reworked, which in comparison to the previous versions, most of them now sound c***.
Sound controllers have also been modified (For the individual sounds) with duplication with the manual controllers, thus flexibility has been seriously reduced.
It is best to stay on V1.51 as I wouldn’t recommend V2.00 (Which also means new instruments coming out of the factory) to my worst enemy.
I have built and played many Wersi’s over the last 40 years or so, but I am afraid OAX V2.00 is a complete disaster that should be avoided at all costs, however if you still want a flexible instrument then go with a Bohm or Bemore instrument, or wait until Wersi upgrade OAX so that it doesn’t sound and act like a £50 Casio.
Listen to Claudia Hirschfeld earlier recordings on OAX (And OAS) and you find the sounds blow most of the V2.00 sounds out of the water, (They really are that bad) so if Claudia Hirschfeld cannot get any decent sounds out of V2.00, the normal punter has no chance.
