  • Baldwin FanFare Deluxe Theatre Model 135

    All,

I am with a dollar cinema in St. Charles, Missouri looking to reinstate our organ from years past. It is currently non-functioning. Is there anyone nearby that would be able to glance at it for repairs? Or does anyone know of anyone looking to sell one of the same model within a few hours driving distance? Any help is appreciated.

Moved to the correct section of the forum. The 135 is really a Home Organ by definition. The 'theatre' in the model name refers more to the 'horseshoe' console design.

    Welcome to the forum, Tristan.

To be brutally honest, if you simply want an organ for the cinema, I'd look around for something that is working. Repairs to the Baldwin would cost more than the organ would ever be worth these days, which is just a few $, and more than something bigger, better and much newer would cost. There are thousands of organs out there and very few buyers, so low cost and free are the usual prices.

Owners of oldies like the 135 usually do their own repairs these days (and we can give you some help with this if you give us more details) but if you do want this organ fixed and you don't mind how much it costs, then google mitatechs . That should let you find any service engineers in your area, but be aware that there aren't that many left these days and some will not touch older instruments.

If anyone knows of a service engineer in your area, I'm sure they'll let you know here.
It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.
