  • Farfisa Foyer

    .

Farfisa Foyer is a Farfisa Mini-Compact for home use, there are 2 speakers and a tube amplifier inside this spinet.
I will have some work to do even if everything seems to be perfect (Facon caps must be changed).

    Some pictures :

I’ve never seen inside the back of these console versions, interesting. On my Farfisas I have replaced every electrolytic and tuned them and usually that is 95% of the work done. Sometimes I have had a rogue transistor but usually it’s just caps.

      Hello,

Today I changed the electrolytic capacitors of my Foyer, all the 1µF became ceramic or MKT to avoid futur problems.
All the transistors are OK (I found bad transistors only when I restored my Farfisa Fast 2).
--> Power On and the sound is great but I still have something wrong: the 3 white buttons don't work so I'll have to check that later.

I put many new photos here : http://claviers.mezei.fr/dossiers/Fa...r.A53-124.html

We used to have a Fartfisa in our 70's band for a short time also a Hammond TTR sat back to back on stage. A couple of Ivy Bensons ex Sax players, drums and me on Guitar. The Fartfisa had a Sharma cabinet on it, all in all a full sound which could fill any hall.
The Hammond player loved drawbars the other chap hated them hence the Fartfisa. I'm the only survivor left from the dance band to tell the tales regretfully now but what memories.

My Foyer is fully restored, the last problem to solve was in the Multi-Tone Booster : one wire was touching the ground near the LDR !

Congratulations! They can be very taxing on the brain but very rewarding when they are working properly. I restored my Compact Duo about four years ago this month and it still plays like new.
