Has anyone heard if any other company has bought out Lowrey?

Still just rumours and speculation. Read the other thread(s) for the reasons why we think it's unlikely to happen.

No sign of the 'big announcement' from Dennis Awe, due on 15th January. Let's see if anything is announced at the NAMM Fair in a few days time (24th - 27th at Anaheim).
It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

Given the low worldwide sales of home organs, its unlikely to happen. I am sure its a challenge even for the Wersi organ division to continue to exist. If designing, manufacturing, and selling Lowrey organs were profitable, an institutional organ manufacturer, such as Allen, would have purchased the Lowrey organ division. I am sure that all digital organ manufacturers find the current market very challenging-in regard to making a profit.

I'm going to close this thread. This topic has been thoroughly discussed here:

          https://organforum.com/forums/forum/...lowrey-closing

AndyG closed that thread a while back as well, as that thread was going around in circles. When there is news, if there is news, on Lowrey's fate, you can be sure it will show up here. In the meantime, it's safe to assume that, like this thread, Lowrey's dead.

This was recently posted on the Lowrey Organs group pages, comes from a dealer who's been passionate about the make for years.

          "Back from NAMM.

Lowrey will not be saved. Anything else you hear is rumor and untrue.

Sorry ... believe me as a dealer it was not the news I wanted to hear"

So it looks very much like that's that. If any other firm news comes along, I'll add it to the thread so people can read it, but I'll leave the thread closed for comment.
