  • Please identify Yamaha Electone model.

Please identify this election model. I think it is a D85, but not sure. Also please advice as to value. Thanks.

    Not a D85. Much older, it's a DK40 from 1972. Value is realistically zero.
It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

Andy IDed it - a DK40. The solo keyboard ( and the whole organ ) is all analog technology, not the PASS system that the D85 has. For the day, it was a good sounding instrument though. It is the largest spinet of that era. Some of the Solo keyboard sounds are pretty good actually - the trumpet always sounded real nice to me anyhow. This one has the Portamento strip that can be fun for some songs. It will also have the Sound In Motion 6X9 actual rotating speaker in it.
      Regards, Larry

Going a little further on Andy's and Larry's comments, it's a DK-40C, the later and final version on the DK-40 series.

The four Portamento rocker voice tabs are green (versus white in the original DK-40),
and the DK-40C has Yamaha's ABC (Auto Bass Chord) system, with both one finger and fingered chord easy play system.
