Yamaha chx-1 organ volume pedal not working

  • Yamaha chx-1 organ volume pedal not working

    Hello all i have a yamaha chx-1 organ the volume pedal not working the led display stays all the up what is wrong does anyone have a clue? And the other pedal don't work what does that pedal do? It is not mentioned in the user manual.

    1) most likely something like a blown lamp or faulty sensor in the pedal - or perhaps something as simple as a bad connection

    2) I think you can assign it to various functions, and that should be in the manual. Most times I've seen it used as a portamento or 'slalom' pedal, raising or lowering the pitch of the whole instrument by up to an octave

      The other pedal you have to activate (button on the left side) to make it do something, additionally you can select its function in the menu, it actually takes over the modulation wheel. Regarding the volumepedal, if the bass pedals are working, then you likely have a bad connection in the connector to the pedal, I would start there. It has a potentiometer inside which is unlikely to break with these symptoms.
