    Hello All,

    Part 1
im looking for a new cable part number #01784356 that connects a pk7 pedal board to a Atelier 900c organ.
mine is looking very frail. (8 pin DIN carries power and signal so dont what to stick any old thing in there)
I'm ether looking to buy one (if available) or make one (if not so will need wiring diagram)
Does any one have any details on how to get or make?
I think its the same cable on the PK-7, PK-7a, PK-6, PK-9, & PK-25 but yet Roland do not know what it is.
PK-5a does not use this cable.

    Part 2.
I have contacted Roland via E-mail - on office web site. who said It may be difficult to get a hold of that cable (even though it maybe used on 5 peddle boards). I would suggest calling our service and parts department.
I rang up service and parts department who said all service and parts are done through backstage.
I created another account this time for Roland 'Back stage' who have put me through to SPARE PARTS ENQUIRY. which basically is a load of telephone numbers for people who repair anything from a microwave oven to an organ. 3rd number in and they don't sell parts they mend things and cannot get the cable.
there is a link from the repair page (listed as spare parts) to f you wish to order spare parts, please contact your local authorised dealer or get in touch with one of our local service centers: i put in my post code and up came Dawsons in Burnley that has been shut for at least 15 years. ive rung Dawsons in Warrington so im expecting dealer prices but luckily its only a cable.
So much for going through Roland, what a waste of time!!!!

    Regards

    Warren.

I'm sure I have a phone number for Roland UK somewhere, but they'll probably tell you to go via the Backstage thing.

Email them again, copying what you've written above, pointing out that the Backstage thing just doesn't have the answers you need. Tell them the part number that TD mentioned. Or phone the parts department again and complain that the Backstage thing can't get you the parts and that there are no more Roland organ dealers left to ask!

If the cable has an 8 pin DIN plug at each end, it should be simple enough to use a multimeter to find which pins are connected at each end and create that exactly. No need for a service manual for that.

You could see if Roland US will supply one. Or perhaps find one of the few remaining organ engineers in the UK to see if they can get one from Roland UK. Or maybe contact Breve Music, as they were the last UK Roland Organ dealer.
It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

Thanks for the info and help, I have just replied to Roland backstage saying that they were no help at all, they have just put me on a 4 day wait via there E-mail. I couldnt get through to any human voice, so no to the parts department. i think your right, a bell testing i will go. regards
