  • Lowrey LX500/LX600 Recording help

I play for a tiny church. They organ they have is an old Lowrey. I would like to be able to record music to 3.5inch floppy disks, but can't find any information detailing instructions.

    Thanks for any help.

If no-one jumps in here, I'd recommend joining the Lowrey Group at: https://groups.io/g/lowreyforum/topics

I'm sure someone will have the owner's manual or will be able to advise you on the procedure. It's usually pretty straightforward - assuming that the floppy drive is OK. They are mechanical and are often the first item to fail in the organ.

Remember that the recordings you make will not be audio but just 'song data', that can be replayed using the organ. If you want to record the actual sound of the organ for playback elsewhere, then you'll have to use mikes and/or the organ's audio outputs, a small mixer and some form of recorder - usually a laptop running Audacity software.
It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.
