Wondering if you made any decisions on this organ. It may be costly to have repaired, but if you are a big fan of the Electone sound (there's no shame in that :), that would be the only reason I could think of to try and save it. That, and maybe to get the service manual and try and fix it and just tinker with it--maybe pick up a few from that era to see if you can salvage parts. I actually turned down a free working analog Electone for sale in excellent working condition. Free to take, but I would have to find a way to transport it over 50 miles.

Parts for oldies are always going to be a problem - though ironically not so much with the real oldies, a dead transistor or tube can usually be found. You might have to cannibalise another similar era model. And there will possibly be people looking at that dead E7000 for parts to revive theirs!

A lot of big Yamaha's use parts that are common between various models. So for parts you have more choices than just parts for a 7000. But that of course depends on what parts you might be talking about. I'm sure there are some things specific to the 7000 and not other models. Hard to tell you anything more than that till you have a better idea what this one is in need of.

That era of Yamaha is a combination of the older analog tone generation ( the sounds the Tone Levers control ), and the PASS ( Pulse Analog Sound Synthesis ) voices that the push buttons control. So it does have some digital control circuitry in it for the PASS system, even though they are actually analog sounds.

    Yamaha Electone 7000 not working...

Everyone, I need a little help. I have the opportunity to save a Yamaha 7000 Electone console organ. The last of the big home analogues and an upgrade to the E70. Had one previously and wished I'd kept it! This one is not currently working. They say it needs parts that are no longer available. I placed a call into my technichian. Hoping to save it. Do you think there's a chance to find parts anywhere? Any good websites were I might find some? Thanks in advance...
