  • Which would you buy?

So organ experts which would you buy?

A Wersi Verona software 7.1 with hardly any activations and the old original screen for £675 or

    A Bohm Overture for £1500

The choice is yours, oh, I mean mine.

Come on friends give me a view 😉👍

If you bought the Wersi, you would really need to consider the Open Art Arranger activation which would set you back another £500.

        HI Herbert

We need more information, like what activations does the Wersi have, and what is the hardware (CPU, RAM etc.) inside.
In addition what version of OAS7 is installed, (The latest is OAS 7.1 R47) as if an earlier version it has to updated in a certain order as the activation codes changed in later versions.

The same applies to the Bohm Overture as this has also changed over the years and which will affect its value.

Both the Wersi and Bohm can be upgraded to the latest models (OAX & Sempra) at a later date if required.

Without doubt go for the Bohm. Solid as a rock.

The Bohm - more rich and warm sound, more facilities to play and arrange. And yes, it could be upgraded to the new SEMPRA technology and the RealOrgan drawbar system. So you can have all legendary organ sound types in, also Wersi drawbar sound in, if you want :)

              Regards,

Herbert, there is going to be some bias towards one or the other on here, depending upon who responds, based on current ownership and brand loyalty. You really need to try them both and see which one best meets your needs, both technically and financially. They are both good but both old generation and either could fail at any time, so ease of fixing would be a valid consideration, and if you could not fix economically, what can you afford to lose. Both can be upgraded to newer versions, but this will cost thousands in both cases, and has to be weighed up against buying one already upgraded.

                Good luck with choosing.
