Could someone tell me where the Technics EX 70 fits into the Technics 'Family' of organs? When was it first manufactured? It seems to be physically quite similar to the F5 having only 31/2 octave keyboards rather than the F5's (?) 41/2 octaves. Is there a 'line of decent' from the F5 to the EX70 (or vice versa)?

Just Google "Technics EX70 Organ" and you get a lot of info. My Blue Book goes only to 1985 and this model is not showing up in the Technics listing. From what I can gather this could be a 1986 production. Hope this helps. [;)]

you might be able to download an owners manual at safemanuals.com. Look under Panasonic and then select 'owners manuals' then the model number. That might answer lots of questions for you.

G'day Alun,

The EX70 was the top model in a range of spinets that went EX10,20,30,50,60,70, released over 2 years from 1986-7. It had a retail price here of $AU9595.00 on release. The series was replaced in 1989 by a range designated EX5,15,25,35 & GX3,5,7 with prices ranging from $AU1995 - 16,995. The only console we saw in Oz during that time was model F3, released in 1984, price $AU20,695.00.
