• Aurora Lower Manual can still be played with all drawbars pushed in - Leslie sound

When the lower drawbars are pushed completely in it is still possible
to play. In comparing the sound level with the upper manual it is as if
the drawbars were pulled out to about the third position.

As many of the 10,000 (slight exaggeration) connectors as I could get to have ben cleaned and reseated. Any thought as to what else could cause the problem?

Also there is a low, humming,"'raow, raow". sound from the built in Leslie. Is this common are should it be completely silent.

    Thanks

I purchased an Aurora last year without testing it first. Big mistake. It had voices playing when all the drawbars were in. I did as good a cleaning as the set up would permit. They don't pivot each component like most spinet organs. The Colonnade manual I was using as a guide had a caution about stressing the wiring while the components were apart and it was quite difficult to keep them balanced as I made my way to the accompaniment. I had a feeling someone had spilled soda in mine and the presets had been affected but couldn't get close enough to the combination buttons to work on them.I gave up and passed to organ along to a friend who only needed something to play around on. It just wasn't worth hunting down the gremlins! I've finished repairs to my Colonnade which was the big brother model and I won't be on the hunt for anymore LSI Hammonds anytime soon!
