I inherited an old Thomas Transistor organ, model B-1. It is is working condition, and average physical condition. Can anyone give me some insight on to when this organ was manufactured, and rough estimated value.

This is the best match I can find in the 'Organ Blue Book' for your quoted model number. Sadly monetary value is nil - sentimental value is up to the individual. If you are truly interested in playing an electronic organ you can pick up much better and newerunits oncouncil cleanup day from the side of road. This sounds cruel but it is true. I hope this helps.

AS FAR AS ORGANS ARE CONCERNED - I'M A GOOD MECHANIC AND A HOPELESS DRIVER.
Hammond C3 & M102 & Elegante & PR40. Yamaha D85 & D65 & FS30 & MC600 & GX76. Thomas Celebrity Royale 871, Kawai T5 & E550, Conn 643 & 632 & 552.Lowrey H25R2. Elka EP12. Orla D6180, Wurlitzer 4430 & Omni 7000 & 555. Roland D70 & RA90 . Ferrofish B4000+. Leslie 145 & 705 & 710 & 720
If indeed it is all playing, you can still have some fun with it. The B-1 unlike the BL-1 would have no internal leslie, and thus not a very live sound. It has flute voices of 16', 8', 5 1/3' & 4'. If you put them togather and play the right hand 8va with vibrato, you can get a hammondish sound like 008888000. on an m-3. Later organs that you might pick up will probably not work any longer, even if had more gimmicks. [:'(]
