Lowrey Majesty Organ (1999)

A 1999 Lowrey Majesty Organ has come up for sale for $2,500. They say it was $55,000 new. It looks to be in tip-top shape.

Has the home organ market dropped off that badly?

I have checked what I could by internet searches and haven't come up with much information. It is a pretty piece of furniture but it is it otherwise worth a second look?

I have an Yamaha HS-6 and have been looking around for something like a Yamaha D-85 (in other words, home organs with nominal value). I this Lowry was a leap forward into the modern age I might be interested.

    Any comments?

    Thanks. Sunshinecoaster

Yes it has, sunshinecoaster, and the depreciation on a newLowrey is legendary!

I'd suggest you join the Yahoo Lowrey group at http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/lowreyforum/

You'll find a lot of very useful information there, as well as people who will have a great idea of what the current value of the Majesty really is.

It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.
