They're rare everywhere! I think I've only ever seen one in the UK, and that was a looooong time ago!
It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

        G'day Terry,

The 1510 was released in 1982 and had a retail price of AUD$8495.00. I'm pretty sure it was the only console model at the time. It was replaced by the NS series of modular digital instruments in 1985 that sold for up to AUD$13,500 as a complete system, and were the end of the very brief 5 year JVC foray into musical instruments, certainly in this country.

The JVC Australian distributor at the time was an outfit called "Hagemeyer P/L" with offices in most states, who are still trading, I believe, mainly in the cosmetics business these days.

A call to Hagemeyer may(?) be of some help or failing that try and track down one of the few dealers that sold the product that may still be around. I'm afraid I can't help with the latter as the only Victorian dealer for the product went broke in 1987, (last stock market crash? [li]) never to be seen again.[ip]

        Happy hunting,

JVC produced a steady stream of organs in Japan from 1958, and as Crossyinoz points out, only started selling outside of Japan about 1980. They released their last models in 1985 and stopped manufacture in 1991. Although at one time they were well established in the Japanese organ market, I believe poor sales in the 80s led to their exit. I’m not an expert on the Japanese economy, but their “bubble economy” at the time could have been a factor.

A video of a Victron in action just popped up on Youtube.

Sounds very similar to a Yamaha, especially the rhythm.
