• Does anybody know...

I inherited a Gulbransen C-700 in mint condition.

I cannot find them for sale anywhere. Wonder what it's worth?

    Many thanks,

    Re: Does anybody know...

I only found one listing on Craigslist for a C700, they were asking $250 and the listing had expired which often means no sale.

Old organs with few exceptions, are worth very little today and that is just an unfortunate fact. All too many ads read 'I inherited...' and the owner now has no idea what to ask or expect.

I also took a look at Ebay US, no C700's but there are a couple of other Gulbransens up there with no bids and VERY cheap starting prices.

    Sorry for the bad news.

      G'day Steven,

Your "Gulbransen" C700 is in fact a re-badged Italian Elka organ from 1989, and as such would have no value to someone with an interest in the real thing, and there areseveral of those on this forum.

You should be aware that the home organ market collapsed some years ago, leavingmost used instruments with little or no intrinsic value. If the organ's working OK and someone in the family can play or wishes to learn, then this Gully has a future.

      Cheers,

This could be a good thing especially if it all working. Anytime is a good time to start learning the organ.
