I came across this forum while trying to findthe value of this organ. Our church is thinking about selling it.It works fine but needs a little TLC.I don't know anything about organs so this seemed like a great place to start, can ya help me out it's a wurlitzer 4800 we also have a leslie organ speaker model 45 or 47 I think 45.

Welcome to the forum. I recently purchased a 4573 for $75. When you say the organ needs a little work, that may place it in the "give away" category. You will probably find more interest in the Leslie Cabinet, up to several hundred dollars depending on its condition. I wouldn't part it from the organ (if it is presently attached) until you attempt to sell the instrument as it is a great plus to the sale. Price for both could best start about $300, but be willing to negotiate.
I concur. The organ is a bit of a rarity, and there are some Wurli fans out there who might relish the challenge of restoration. Transport costs are going to be the biggest headache for an organ this size, probably rather more than the organ is actually worth.

Make sure just what Leslie you have, but it's going to be one of the earlier, single speed varieties from what you say. It will be a 'W' class leslie and, as such, suitable for use on heaps of organs, not just Hammond as with the 'H' class. Potential buyers would probably want to buy it with its connector kit, cables and switches. You'll get a lot more interest in the leslie and you'll get more money for it. Try to keep them together? Nice thought, but I think you're more likely to have to split them.

Just a thought, there are people out there who want 61,61,32 consoles like this, dead or alive, to gut and run software based organs, and they definitely wouldn't want the leslie (or if they did, they'd try to sell it on at a profit!). If the organ has any problems at its ripe old age, these customers simply won't care and you should be able to get a reasonable amount for it.

As for exact values, hard to say, and it depends on where you are, but I think that leslie should be worth rather more than $300, especially with the kit and cables.

It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.
Second that!! The 4800is the largest of the ES reedWurlitzers witha 32 note pedalboard, which would greatly raise its value as a practice instrument if only it worked[:$]. The connector box, Cable, and half-moonswitches alone could get you $300, and theLeslie another $500, depening on where you are.[:)]
