A Kawai SR6 in good condition on Ebay for £200 not an offer with 30 minutes to go.. What a waste

Unsold in the end. Hard to say what they should ask for it these days. I was offered on last year for £50. Next time one comes up near me, I may 'bite'.

And, overall, a sad reflection of the sorry state that the global used home organ market is in.[:(]

The market seems erratic in Oz. Some go for way over what I'd expect while others don't sell at any price. I don't recall seeing an SR for sale but I'm still kicking myself for not picking up a DX1900 for $250 last year. There might be a long wait for another one to turn up.

A gross generalization, I know, but the only things that sell on ebay are Hammonds and Electones.

          You're not wrong there mate!

Check this out - this morning someone paid just over AUD$9K for a very grotty looking B3 complete without Leslie & bench, even the music rest ain't original.

Pugman, it seems you're correct, the used organ market down under still has some life left. We better think first before we suggest that Aussie organs are worthless eh?[^o)]

Get the right ones and you'd probably do well. I'll have an SR7 thanks.

Re: State of the UK market

We've missed the boat now, as most of them ended up in landfill, but there was a fortune waiting to be made by anyone with a strong back, a big van and a warehouse going around buying up all the unused Hammond C3s in the clubs of North-East England. I remember when you couldn't give a C3 away. Now even knackered ones change hands for £2K on the 'Bay.
